26th of April
After a long time without writing anything in English on my blog, here a short update. After I left Worldview almost one month ago and really miss the students and kids, I arrived last week in Brisbane, where I will stay until the end of July before going back to Germany.
After Launceston, I went to the Camp-site in Morisset to help with the final preparation for AUSCON, do some building jobs and say goodbye to Daniel (He left on the 4th of April, to go back to Germany and spend some time with his Family, because they’re going to immigrate into the States and he will stay in Germany for Uni). AUSCON was a very pleasant time for Rudi and I, because the amount of work was very low and we could enjoy going fishing or playing in Mudworld
But AUSCON went by very fast and so we had to say goodbye to all the lovely folks in Morisset because it doesn’t look like if we come down there again. Rudi is now in Launceston at the farm till the end and I work here with computers. Rudi came up with me to Brisbane so that we could make some holidays together and he was able to see al the nice Queensland beaches. Maybe you saw the pictures of our holidays already. It was such a great time and we had heaps of fun in the City, Whitewater World and Deramworld, the Gold Coast and the Sunshinecoast. My work started last Tuesday and it was nice doing some work with computers again, afters spending time farming. In the future I’ll try to post a bit more in English…

Work
As you read before, I was working at the farm most of the time. Even worldview is an bible college, they have a farm to grow their own vegetables and fruits, collect the eggs from the chucks and hold some cattle to get some money. So the work their had heaps of variety. Moving the cattle, drive with the tractor to make the paddocks more level, repair some things (cars/water system/…), irrigate the paddocks when there was not enough rain, harvest zucchinis(every day) and other sorts of veggies, planting some new things and weed all the beds. Thursday was no work for me. In the morning we had an worship time together with all the students, and growth group. After lunch we had prac. So every Student had to do some practical work. There were doors to repair, lawns to mow, trees to trim, beds to move, blackberrys to pick and so on.
Food
In Brisbane I had to cook for myself. So most of the time I had pasta with different sauces, because it’s the cheapest way to feed yourself. But at worldview i got lunch and dinner every weekday. And it was always good. One day we had a very special German food. We had spaetzle
so that covers the weekdays, but on the weekends I still had to cook. But right from the first weekend I was invited almost every weekend to eat with people from college or the church.
Churches
Right from the start I knew, that I will be at college only for 8 weeks. So I didn’t tried to find a church for me, but took the chance to visit lots of different churches. A very good experience and I learned a lot for myself and how a church should and shouldn’t be.

After a long period without writing anything in English, here a short update, before I go to the airport and take the plane back to the Mainland and then the train up to Morisset. Since beginning of February I was at Worldview, the Bible College of WEC Australia in Launceston, TAS. It was a very nice and blessed time and I’m very sad to leave today. My main part of working was helping here at the farm and do some little things like mowing the lawn, trim trees and stuff like this. And I played a lot with the kids. Sometimes very exhausting, but it was so much fun. I will miss them so much. On the plane I will write a longer entry, so that you know a bit more about what I did here…

Yesterday after Testdrive we went to the famous Bondi Beach. There were only like 10 other people on the beach and it was very nice. The water was not too cold and it was a shame, that we didn’t bring our boards. The waves were perfect. But nevertheless we had a nice time there until I tried to dive under da wave an d then felt this strong stinging on the left of my face. As I got out, there was a nice scratch on the left site of my face. Only 2 cm from my eye. We decided that it had to be a tentacular of a jellyfish. But we hadn’t have a camera in this moment, so there is no picture from then. But on this picture (24h later) you can still see the scratch a bit.

There are now some Videos from our visit at Hillsong last Sunday. It was a really good service. The music was fantastic (as you would expect it) and also the sermon was very good and not so emotional as usual. We had a really good time there…

Since today I will try me in an English version of my Blog, so that all the english-speaking people out there know what’s on in my social Year. But it doesn’t look as pretty as the other version, because i don’t have full access to the php-files. But maybe I will find a solution for that later on.I try to write the same things like in the “original” Version, but it might take some time to find the right translation.
Today, I saw for the first time a snake in real Life. It was a Red-bellied Black Snake. But because it was down at the climbing tower, where all the kids should play, we were forced to chop its head off with a shovel. And the body of the snake was moving for another 5 minutes, until we buried it.
